Our client is a leading manufacturer of knuckleboom loaders and grapple trucks for the waste and recycling industry, seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer at their Lake Wales, FL location. The Senior Mechanical Engineer role reports to the President and Vice President and focuses on the design and management of new projects related to the bulky waste trash industry, including loader and attachment designs. Key responsibilities include creating and managing BOMs, 3D modeling using Solid Edge, drafting and designing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic assemblies, and ensuring compliance with air permit requirements for emissions. The role requires ERP software proficiency for manufacturing processes, hydraulic circuit and cylinder design experience, and fixture design for robotic welders. A BS in Mechanical Engineering, 10 years of experience in manufacturing and 3D design, and expertise in truck-mounted loaders, knuckle booms, or cranes are required. The position involves less than 20% travel and operates in a business casual office environment with occasional visits to the production area. Salary would be in the $140k-150k range.
