Responsibilities
- Supervise daily waste management operations, including collection, transportation, and disposal of waste materials.
- Operate heavy equipment such as front loader trucks, garbage trucks, roll-off trucks, and forklifts as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
- Train and mentor staff on proper waste handling procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
- Coordinate with local authorities to ensure adherence to environmental regulations and policies.
- Develop and implement strategies for effective waste reduction and recycling initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of waste management activities, including volumes collected and disposed of.
- Perform heavy lifting as required during the loading and unloading of materials.
Requirements
- Proven experience in waste management or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation, including loader operation and sanitation practices.
- Ability to dig and fabricate as necessary for maintenance tasks or repairs.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
