What are the responsibilities and job description for the Career Development Coordinator position at Watauga County Schools?
Individual will be responsible for the following:
- supporting CTE teachers
- providing and coordinating career development services for students participating in CTE
- collaborating with administrators, student services personnel, and teachers to ensure delivery of career development services
- facilitating relationships with parents, business/industry, high school CTE teachers, and community organizations to support student transition to high school
- providing support to CTE teachers and personnel within the local school system
- assisting with the implementation of CTE curriculum
- assisting with utilization of CTE computerized instructional management system
- providing technical assistance and support to teachers and other CTE staff to improve the instructional process, document student learning, and improve student outcomes to ensure student success in a high-wage, high skill, or high-demand global economy
- outreach and recruitment
- assessment and prescription
- collaboration with other service providers
- monitoring access, progress, and success
- annual accountability and planning
- other duties as assigned by school or district administrator
Applicant must hold or be able to obtain North Carolina Professional Educator's Certificate in the area of 00747 - Career Development Coordinator prior to employment. Minimum of three (3) years successful CTE teaching experience required.
