At Watauga Orthopaedics, our mission is to ensure our patients receive excellent care with a convenient, cooperative, and cost-effective atmosphere by providing experienced and efficient orthopaedic and surgical expertise. We are looking for a reliable, part-time employee to join our DME/Bracing Department at our Johnson City office.
Position Summary
The DME Department, under the supervision of the Clinical Manager, provides exceptional customer service by ensuring a positive patient experience for new and seasoned patients alike. This may include but is not limited to:
- Provide exceptional customer support along with ensuring a positive attitude towards all our patients.
- Proper technique in fitting upper and lower extremity bracing.
- Proper documentation and coding for billing purposes.
- Ensuring safety of patients during all patient encounters.
- Answering incoming phone lines in a welcoming and professional manner.
- Maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
- Will cross train with clinical to assist with night clinics including but not limited to rooming patients, casting and splinting.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of basic anatomy.
- Computer proficiency with some experience working with EMR's.
- Good decision-making, communication, and organizational skills.
- After training, must be able to work independently without constant supervision.
- Must be able to multi-task and be flexible to accommodate the needs of their department due to the ever changing healthcare field.
- Prior Orthopaedic knowledge with bracing experience preferred, but not required. Willing to train the right individual.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
