Summary/Objective

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our efforts in delivering innovative SaaS solutions to local law enforcement agencies. In this role, you will drive sales growth, manage a high-performing team, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet and exceed revenue targets. You’ll play a critical role in helping local law enforcement agencies improve efficiency, transparency, and effectiveness through our cutting-edge technology solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy and Execution:
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to expand the market share within the local law enforcement sector.
  • Identify and target key decision-makers within law enforcement agencies, such as sheriffs, chiefs of police, administrators, and IT directors.
  • Establish clear sales goals and monitor team performance against KPIs.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a team of sales representatives, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to improve individual and team effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, share insights, and align objectives.
  • Market Insights and Collaboration:
  • Stay informed about trends, regulations, and challenges in the law enforcement industry.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to provide feedback on market needs and refine product offerings.
  • Sales Operations and Reporting:
  • Utilize CRM (Salesforce) tools to track sales activity, pipeline progress, and forecast revenue.
  • Analyze sales data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior leadership, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.

Skills and Specifications

  • Knowledge of law enforcement workflows, challenges, and procurement processes.
  • Experience with RFPs and government contracting.
  • Familiarity with SaaS subscription models and technology adoption in public agencies.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • Directly supervises employees within the department(s).
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5 years of sales experience, preferably in SaaS or technology solutions.
  • Proven track record of selling to government or public sector clients, with experience in law enforcement being highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a history of exceeding sales targets.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM (Salesforce) software and sales analytics tools.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Travel
Minimal travel for this position.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Candidate must pass Background check and drug test.
