Watchtower Security, an expanding organization, is seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a System Design and Solutions Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for creating comprehensive presale visuals, maps, and corresponding budgets for our cutting-edge surveillance systems. Collaborating closely with internal teams, including Sales, Project Management, and Service. The System Design & Solutions Specialist will ensure the seamless implementation of our technology solutions within the multifamily industry.
Essential Job Functions :
Develop presale surveillance design maps and cost projections based on Watchtower Security’s design principles, ensuring optimal placement of cameras, routers, switches, radios, and other necessary equipment.
Collaborate effectively with key departments throughout the design life cycle to ensure alignment and coherence.
Refine and adjust budgets to align with the proposed system designs, maintaining accuracy and viability.
Utilize Vectoring and PDF software to create customer-facing visuals and maps, emphasizing clarity and precision.
Collaborate with sales representatives to understand client needs, offering tailored solutions and recommendations to meet specific requirements.
Develop CAD markups, maps, and budget creation for new construction projects.
Uphold company standards in all customer-facing materials, delivering a polished and professional presentation.
Provide support for various projects within the Sales & Operations teams.
Job Skills and Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience, with a strong foundation in system design principles, technical concepts, and networking fundamentals preferred.
Certifications with camera and wireless network providers such as Axis, Ubiquiti, Cambium, etc., preferred.
CAD and blueprint experience preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to assess project requirements, evaluate design options, identify potential issues, and propose optimal solutions.
Demonstrated technical aptitude with a strong understanding of networking concepts, IP-based systems, and surveillance technologies, including routers, switches, radios, camera specifications, and system integration.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software such as Inkscape, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe PDF.
Adaptive and collaborative team player, dedicated to contributing to team success in dynamic environments.
Proficient in customer-focused communication, capable of engaging in technical discussions with clients to develop effective system design solutions.
