Pay Rate: $20.00-$22.00
Schedule: Day shift, M-F, occasional weekends
Description
- To facilitate and coordinate the daily business transactions of our customers as those transactions relate to provided services. Develop and maintain a dialogue with our customers in order to understand their business needs, directions and special requirements. Consistently strive to exceed the expectations of our customers.
- Review customer releases for outbound shipments. Create truck bill of ladings
- Must provide customer their prepared “inventory completion reports” in a timely matter.
- Prepare warehouse receipts for inbound material.
- Prepare inbound paperwork for inbound bulk and packaged material.
- Generate spreadsheet reports as needed.
- Confirm, fax and scan paperwork.
- Maintain communication with customers regarding customers’ inbound barge, rail and truck activity.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of customers’ current on hand inventories.
- Review customer complaints and where appropriate, develop and respond with both cause and corrective action.
- Work in conjunction with outside sales to provide the primary link between the customer and Watco in answering questions, resolving difficulties and communication business status.
- Maintain the confidentiality with all customers.
- Possess a thorough understanding of the terminals’ operating capabilities and processes.
- Must have strong organizational skills
- Must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to adjust to changing operating conditions.
Machines, Tools, Special Equipment, Personal Protective Equipment Used:
Data entry using computer system, calculator, truck scales, email and copy machine used for making copies, faxing and scanning
PPE; hard hat, vest, safety glasses, FR clothing, gloves, steel toed boots
Requirements
High school education or equivalent
Two or more years of experience in an office clerical position utilizing Microsoft Work, Excel and database software required.
Prior experience in customer service, transportation, river terminal, warehousing, ferrous alloys preferred,
May be required to work overtime and weekends.
Occasional trips to visit customers will be required.
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
