Water 4 Mercy, a pioneering nonprofit organization dedicated to eradicating thirst and hunger through innovative solutions, is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as the Operational Director to assist the CEO with the day to day management and fundraising efforts.
This unique role offers hands-on experience working closely with our Founder and CEO, Nermine Khouzam Rubin, as her right hand and protégé. You’ll not only support the CEO in daily operations but also gain invaluable mentorship and insight into running a high-impact nonprofit organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Work directly with the CEO to manage day-to-day operations, including scheduling, correspondence, and high-level administrative tasks.
• Assist with strategic planning and project coordination for Water 4 Mercy’s initiatives in water, agriculture, and education.
• Research and analyze fundraising and development strategies for organizational growth.
• Represent the CEO in meetings, events, and presentations as needed.
• Develop and maintain relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders.
• Manage special projects and events, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission.
Qualifications:
• A bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree in sustainable development, nonprofit management, or a related field is strongly preferred.
• A deep interest in sustainability, global development, and nonprofit leadership.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal abilities
• Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn the ropes of nonprofit leadership.
• Must reside in the Tampa Bay area and be able to work on-site and remotely.
