What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Concierge (Poughkeepsie, Water Club Luxury Living) position at Water Club Luxury Living?
Water Club Luxury Living offers one, two, and three-bedroom apartments with spectacular views of the majestic Hudson River in Poughkeepsie NY. Water Club apartments include outdoor balconies, panoramic windows, stainless steel appliances, indoor parking, outdoor pool with cabanas, outdoor fire pits, BBQ grills, gym, dog park, roof terrace, prime location, and much more.
The Concierge Maintains the Leasing Office and Property Leasing Duties during the Evenings and Weekends when the Leasing Staff is unavailable. The Concierge also assists Residents with all of their Customer Service Needs and monitors and closes the pool during the summer season.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provides administrative support by scheduling appointments, database management, maintaining correspondence with tenants.
- Assists the Property Manager and Leasing Assistant with leasing and apartment showing
- Greets and acknowledges all residents and announces all guests.
- Provides concierge services such as package and delivery acceptance, coordinating transportation, service vendor recommendations, restaurants reservations and additional requests upon demand.
- Ensures property rules and regulations are consistently enforced
- Through appearance, performance and service orientation, project a consistent image that complements the property.
- Adhere to formal operating policies and procedures that mandate certain customer service techniques and emergency response procedures.
- Handle all complaints professionally and in a timely manner
- Screen calls, arrange appointments and referrals.
- Assists in the correspondence with potential residents and current tenants.
- Type correspondence, reports, memos, and forms as requested by Property Manager
- Take clear and concise phone messages
- Maintain inventory and submit front office supply orders to the Property Manager.
- Always keep the front area neat and tidy
- Distribute mail and handle routine correspondence
- During Pool Season Checks the Pool Chemicals and Documents them, Makes Sure Residents Adhere to Pool Safety Rules.
- Stocks propane, check and monitor the grills and fire pits. Clean the tables by the pool & roof. Straightens furniture on the roof and at the pool area. Closes the Pool and Rooftop areas.
- Updates Resident Locks as Needed, Changes Light Bulbs and Batteries in Smoke Detectors.
- Perform additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely as required by Property Manager
Front Desk Opening Procedures:
- Unlock Back room
- Unlock Concierge Drawer
- Start Music through Sonos (lobby 1)
- Turn on Fireplace (lobby 1 & 2)
- Turn on TV - set to music station (lobby 2)
- Tidy front desk area & backroom
- Notify tenants of packages waiting
- Check Voicemail & E-mail, respond to all messages
- Follow-up Leads
Front Desk Closing Procedures:
- Tidy up front desk area & backroom
- Sign out of Appfolio, E-mail, etc.
- Lock all drawers
- Turn off lights at concierge
- Lock all doors to backroom
Physical Requirements of the Position:
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length.
- Must be able to walk around the building for long periods of time.
- Must be able to exert well-paced mobility in limited space.
- Must have the ability to bend, squat and lift up to 50 lbs on a regular and continuing basis.
- Understand and respond to employee and guest verbal requests and visual cues in a sometimes loud and extremely busy environment.
Package Receipt Procedure:
- Enter all Packages in the Package Concierge:
- If a Package is too large, notify tenant through the Package Concierge to pick up package in the leasing office.
- If there is a large overflow of packages or a residents needs require you to do so, deliver packages to resident’s door.
Education Requirements:
- A minimum of a High School diploma is required.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.75 - $21.00 per hour
