Senior Civil Engineer
Water & Environmental Technologies (WET) is seeking a professional civil engineer to join our team in support of an array of projects in North America. The successful applicant may be based in any of WET's Montana locations. WET offers a flexible work schedule and hybrid work accommodations for those who prefer to work from home and/or in the office or a combination of both, upon completion of the onboarding period.
Technical responsibilities will include work on a range of projects involving site layout, design and construction management for residential and commercial land development, municipal and industrial infrastructure, impoundments and landfills, hard-rock and coal mine reclamation, and other specialty projects. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to serve as a mentor to junior and mid-level engineers, aiding in their development with both technical and project management skills, providing direction and overseeing designs, development of construction bid packages, and development of technical reports.
Expertise in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, design of piping networks, and earthwork/grading in AutoDesk Civil 3D is strongly preferred.
Project management responsibilities will include development and management of project scopes, schedules, and budgets. Other typical activities will include leading or participating in project and client meetings, publishing technical works, presenting projects at conferences and seminars.
Business development responsibilities will include direct client consultations and supporting business development initiatives within the company. Typical business development will include maintaining client relationships, contributing to marketing campaigns, performing client outreach, and developing or contributing to proposals and presentations.
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil engineering or related field
- 10 years of directly applicable experience
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills
- Professional Engineering (PE) certification
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- 15 years of directly applicable experience
- Established network of clients
