Assistant Infant Room Teacher

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Infant Room Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and creating a nurturing environment for young learners. This position offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives through engaging educational activities. Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth needed for primary school in a small diverse preschool and child care program that is culturally grounded in bilingual learning.



Duties

Responsibilities - Assist the Lead in the following.

• Ensure the safety of each infant enrolled in the class whether in the classroom, on the playground, or in common areas;
• Maintain regular observation and evaluation of children?s development and progress as directed by Lead Teacher
• Accept and maintain responsibility as directed by Lead Teacher on a daily basis for the ordered arrangement, appearance d�cor, and cleanliness of the learning environment of the classroom; following checklists.
• Facilitate age and developmentally appropriate classroom practices that will include the areas of physical, emotional, spiritual, social and cognitive needs of the young children.
• Assist Lead Teacher in activity planning and implementation.
• Communicate effectively with parents as needed, regarding their child's progress and any concerns
• Utilize effective behavior management techniques to support a positive learning environment
• Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-2 years of professional child care experience.
• Minimum HS degree and pursuit of Infant Toddler CDA
• High energy.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• An understanding of child development.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
• Care and concern for welcoming Internationals in community
