*This position is part time, 25 hours per week.
Responsibilities include snack and lunch coordination and preparation for preschool aged children in a Christian school environment. Help maintain a sanitary environment and nutritional/appropriate menu in accordance with all relevant laws, policies and procedures. Maintain supplies and shopping lists. Interacts/communicate with staff, students and families as appropriate. Must have a heart for ministry to children and implementing the core values of Water of Life Community Church. Have an understanding of Bible stories and a willingness to be trained in telling stories in a fun and exciting manner.
Planning and Implementation: Prepares the snack/lunch in accordance to menu and title 22 serving portions, takes inventory of the kitchen and prepares shopping lists, notifies the Director in advance of needed supplies, maintains supplies and stocks teachers’ lounge, prepares play dough for classrooms monthly.
Care and Relations with Students: Relates sensitively and warmly with students, sets clear and positive limits with students, demonstrates concern with student’s physical care and safety, assists students in development of appropriate positive habits of eating, dressing, and using the toilet.
Relations with Staff/Total Program: Promotes open and good communication with staff, encourages staff cooperation and goodwill, demonstrates ability to make use of constructive suggestions from a supervisor, supports total program and works cooperatively with related staff, maintains good communication with center’s Director with regard to parental or staff complaints.
Use skills to contribute to overall operations. Attend professional development in-service days to meet state licensing requirements. Attends special events (Open House, parent conferences, etc.), as assigned. Report any suspected safety or health hazards to Director for correction. Make suggestions for improvement.

Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED; Some ECE Units desirable.
- One (1) year experience working with children ages 3-5 in a group setting preferred
- Food Handlers permit
- One (1) year experience food handlers experience
- Ability to obtain satisfactory live scan fingerprint and child abuse index clearance by the DOJ
- Current CPR and First Aid Training
- Current physical with a clear TB test; current Tdap, MMR and Influenza vaccinations
- Basic knowledge in office technology tools (web-based, MS Office, etc.); intermediate knowledge preferred
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the job; life/carry up to 40 pounds
