Primary Function
Water Resource Group, the parent company of Rice Lake and Rice Lake West, needs a BIM (building information modeling) modeler! Expert knowledge of BIM and Trimble software is required, as well as an understanding of engineering and construction. You will be required to work closely with our field project teams, modeling and preparing workplans for fabrication and field installation purposes. The ideal candidate has previous experience in the water and wastewater field as well as good communication and listening skills. The candidate must have good attention to detail and be extremely knowledgeable in construction practices especially process pipe, concrete and mechanical systems. Education, Licensing, and Professional Certification Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or an engineering discipline preferred - equivalent work experience accepted. Certifications such as Trimble, Revit, Navisworks, ReCAP, AutoCAD Suites, Microsoft Office Products, PDF Based Workflow, and Cloud Based Applications are encouraged.
Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the water and wastewater construction industry
- Minimum 4 years of experience using AutoCAD REVIT
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with point cloud data
- Minimum 1 year experience working with Trimble scanners and total stations

Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the day-to day planning of project tasks
- Manage and coordinate BIM standards development, implementation, and quality on all related files and models
- Complete clash reporting and hold project team meetings to resolve clashes
- Implement shop drawings, specifications and approved changes into BIM model
- Understand and work with point cloud information
- Provide field CAD drafting/BIM modeling support
- Develop workplans for field use based on the needs of the field team.
- Partner with the field and prefab teams to create plans for the implementation of model-based prefabrication
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of constructions workflow processes and priorities
- Ability to manage multiple ongoing and complex projects while being able to successfully meet the requirements
- Troubleshoot any BIM related issues
- Manage BIM project benchmarks to meet project deadlines
- Contribute to the documentation, dissemination and monitoring of standards, best practices, and industry advancements
