Water’s Edge Dermatology, an AQUA Dermatology portfolio practice, is Florida’s largest and most comprehensive full-service skin care provider in the Southeast, offering medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, plastic surgery, vein care, and radiation oncology.


We seek an energetic, hard-working, dependable, multi-tasking Medical Patient Services Representative/Customer Service Representative passionate about helping others and making a difference.

The Patient Services Representative/Customer Service Representative acts as a liaison between Water’s Edge Dermatology and its current and potential patients; assisting by determining and clarifying their needs; scheduling appointments, answering inquiries, resolving problems, fulfilling requests, and maintaining the designated database.


Essential Functions

  • Answers inquiries by clarifying patient requests, verifying information, researching, locating, and providing excellent customer service to patients.
  • Helps patients by promptly answering incoming telephone calls and strives to meet department goals such as talk time, conversion rates, etc.
  • Resolves patient problems by clarifying issues, researching alternative solutions, implementing agreed-upon solutions, and occasionally escalating unresolved issues to supervisors.
  • Educates patients by explaining procedures, answering questions, and providing required information.
  • Keeps and maintains call center database up to date by entering key information efficiently and accurately and summarizing key points of patient conversations
  • Maintains and improves quality results by adhering to standards and guidelines.
  • Maintains company equipment by reporting problems.
  • Accomplishes goals and organization mission.
  • Meets personal/team qualitative and quantitative targets.
  • Other duties as assigned.

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

  • Full-Time
  • Monday – Friday
  • 8 am – 4:30, 8:15am – 4:45am, or 8:30am – 5 pm
  • Work-from-home opportunity, upon the completion of on-site training


QUALIFICATIONS
Education - This position requires a High School Degree or equivalent completion.
Experience – Has experience working in a contact center and is familiar with medical terminology.
Communication – Excellent verbal and written communication skills. BILINGUAL PREFERRED
Work Style - Must be able to work well independently but ask for help when needed—the ability to analyze and interpret information and interact and decipher information telephonically and electronically.
