About the Job
The Water Street Brass location seeks an experienced and motivated individual to join our team and become a key contributor to our continued rapid growth. The Customer Service Representative position within Water Street Brass is the front line for our customers. Therefore, it is paramount to be professional, respectful, courteous, responsive, and friendly at all times.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Quickly develop a solid working knowledge of our ERP system.
- Develop product knowledge to assist customers.
- Provide telephone support.
- Provide information necessary to research and troubleshoot issues pertaining to orders/invoices etc. to the Customer Service Lead/Customer Service manager.
- Provide information necessary for generating ‘Return Goods Authorizations,’ Credit Memos, and preparing Call Tags.
- Enlist the efforts of the Sales and Customer Service Lead when necessary to solve issues.
- Follow up & communicate timely with internal staff and customers.
- Identify any ongoing product, shipping, and warehouse issues, and bring them to the attention of the Customer Service Manager/Lead or Production team.
- Work on special projects as assigned.
- Need to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Customer Service Department.
- Positive attitude with a professional work ethic.
- Be a team player.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Customer Service experience.
- Strong data entry and typing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ms Office skills with an emphasis on Outlook and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to understand technical materials and blueprints.
Preferred Knowledge and skills
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- College degree preferred.
