Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead a small, focused culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and understanding of kitchen management. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for food preparation, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety, as well as staff supervision and retention.
Duties
- Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills and promote teamwork.
- Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Manage food preparation processes to ensure consistency and quality in every dish served.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs effectively.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with food handling standards.
- Conduct regular quality checks on all dishes before they leave the kitchen.
Requirements
- Experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role.
- Strong culinary skills with a passion for food preparation and presentation.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing a diverse team.
- Knowledge of menu planning, food handling practices, and kitchen management.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Committed availability Tuesday-Saturday.
