Job Summary:The People and Culture Admin Coordinator will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of Water Street Mission's People and Culture department.
FLSA: Non-exempt; Full-time
All Water Street Mission Staff must be:
- Willing to sign the Water Street Mission Statement of Faith
- A current member or regular attendee of a local church
- Able to fully support the Water Street Mission core values and ministry philosophy
Duties/Responsibilities:
Culture Values
- Share the Good News and minister hope to those who are hurting.

- Support the goals and objectives of the People and Culture department in a manner that reflects the values and ministry philosophy of Water Street Mission.
- Personally model the core values of Water Street Mission.
HR Administration:
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior- level HR staff or management.
- Support the HR Generalist in the administration of Workers' Compensation and Unemployment
Compensation claims submittal and management.
- Manage the administration of employee off-boarding and separations.
- Update and maintain the HRIS system (Paycom) with status and data changes within the HRIS system.
- Coordinate the employee clearance and renewal process as well as verifications.
- Provide support and assistance with the annual Open Enrollment process and any life status changes for individuals.
Talent Development Administration:
- Support the Talent Development Manager with the recruitment process, through job postings, scheduling interviews, reference checks, etc.
- Conducts reference checks for candidates and confirms background clearance completion at time of hire.
- Plan and coordinate the onboarding process for all new employees to ensure they have consistent experience.
- Provide support to Talent Development Manager on internal staff communications.
- Provides support to Talent Development Manager with Learning Management System management.
Meeting Coordination and Administration:
- Assists with planning and execution of events such as:
Benefits enrollment (annual)
All-Staff meetings (monthly)
People and Culture team off-sites (quarterly)
Employee recognition events (annual)
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Associates degree or equivalent experience.
Education and Experience:
- Prior related office and team administration experience
- Experience working within a human resources team preferred
