Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to maintain a compliant and safe workplace.
- Conduct employee training on safety practices, including coordinating first-aid training sessions.
- Proactively identify potential hazards in the workplace and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure regular equipment inspections, documenting findings, and implementing necessary corrective actions.
- Investigate safety incidents using root cause methodologies and prepare relevant documentation.
- Collaborate with the environmental team to support spill cleanup efforts and participate in root cause analysis for incidents.
- Facilitate effective communication between operational teams and HSE management to ensure alignment on safety practices.
- Maintain accurate HSE records, including training programs and incident reports.
- Assist in implementing emergency response plans and monitoring project security requirements.
- Support the development and implementation of contractor safety programs at the field level.
- Maintain safety statistics, analyze incident data for trends, and prepare advisory communications.
- Lead case management for all workplace injuries, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, technology, occupational safety, or a related field is highly preferred.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in environmental health and safety, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Excellent understanding of OSHA regulations and other applicable safety standards.
- Professional safety certifications are a plus (ASP, CSP, etc.).
- Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
