What are the responsibilities and job description for the Measurement Technician (Range I-III) - Kenedy, TX position at WaterBridge Resources?
Summary of Position:
This position will report to the area Measurement Supervisor and support WaterBridge’s Eagle Ford Operations. This individual must be able to install, maintain, and repair measurement, instrumentation, and electrical equipment as well as recommend, develop, and support the implementation of new processes, and must be willing to learn the latest technological advances in instrumentation and measurement devices.
Position level will be determined based on experience.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
The following represents most of the position's duties but is not meant to be all-inclusive or prevent other duties from being assigned when necessary. Employees are expected to comply with all regulatory, environmental, and safety rules and standards, as well as corporate policies.
As a Measurement Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining electronic flow computers, temperature transmitters, radios, solar equipment, and pressure transmitters with guidance.
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of liquid meters, including Magnetic, Ultrasonic, and Turbine meters, with guidance.
- Maintaining a routine meter verification/calibrations schedule to ensure measurement accuracy is maintained per company policy.
- Witnessing meter performance verifications as performed by third-party customers and contractors, as needed.
- Detecting measurement error, provide documentation to production accounting to correct volumes as needed, and provide supporting documentation for corrections.
- Performing pre-commissioning activities including system checkout, instrumentation calibration, loop checks, and communication testing.
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining cellular modems, serial radios, gateways, and Ethernet radios with guidance.
- Using various tools and software to perform analysis and determine why equipment is not communicating correctly.
- Coordinating/performing maintenance duties required to maintain operations and regulatory compliance.
- Reading and understanding maintenance/operations manuals for equipment specifications, parts, and procedures to make proper and timely repairs.
- Maintaining effective communications, providing ideas, raising concerns, and working with other functions, including facility operations and supervision, engineering, supply chain, other I&E employees, clerical staff, and contractors.
- Assisting the team in the daily economic optimization of operations.
- Coordinating operations with other Delaware Basin personnel as required.
- Ensuring that accurate, timely data is entered and recorded within computer-based preventative and predictive maintenance programs, drawings, procedures, and schematics.
- Staying abreast of changing technology through training opportunities, contact with suppliers/representatives of equipment manufacturers, and networking with others in the field.
- Maintaining good housekeeping practice.
- Understanding and adhering to all Safety and Environmental rules and regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
- 3 years of measurement experience or 2 years of measurement experience with a college or technical trade school degree, training on applicable measurement equipment, preferred.
- Working knowledge of midstream operations, liquid measurement, and meters, as well as 4-20mA signals, Modbus, and other communication mediums is strongly preferred.
- Having experience in the use of computers and a basic knowledge of Word and Excel is required.
- Have knowledge of electrical and electronic principles and associated safety requirements.
- Must be able to demonstrate advanced organizational skills.
- Be able to assist in the procurement process.
- Be able to apply common-sense understanding to daily tasks/issues.
- Have forthright communication with field leadership; job progress, issues & resolutions, required manpower & equipment, etc.
- Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.
- Must be able to relate to other people and maintain good relationships with coworkers and peers.
- Must be able to respond appropriately to constructive criticism.

- 10/4 schedule. Schedule begins on Tuesday.
