Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
As a Wash Rack Operator, you will be responsible for:
- Washing out trucks (end dumps, vacuum trucks, and roll-off boxes) within an oil-based mud safety sensitive environment.
- Providing exceptional customer service.
- Turning pumps on and off.
- Identifying trucks entering and exiting the wash pad.
- Cleaning up the mud in the wash bay so it can be loaded in a haul truck.
- Washing handrails to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Identifying and reporting issues and problems by making sure all equipment used in the wash bay is always ready and in working condition.
- Checking oil in pumps.
- Ensuring washout hoses, fitting and nozzles are secure and not cracked or compromised.
- Making sure the pumps are not leaking.
- Checking water fill lines to washout tanks.
- Conducting all business activities in accordance with health and safety policies and legal compliance requirements
- Reporting any issues, problems, or unsafe conditions to the attention of the supervisor, superintendent, and/or HSE.
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
- Have 6 months to 1 year of related experience preferred, but not required.
- Operates in a field environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, or sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds and must be able to carry a self-contained breathing apparatus if needed. Specific vision abilities required by the job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
