The Therapeutic Recreation Director
- Plans, develops and coordinates the overall program of activity therapies, including occupational, music and recreational therapy, with other activities.
- Maintain records and careplans of each resident .
- must display tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to adapt and modify work practices to residents based on whatever level at which they are currently functioning.
- The preferred candidate must have , good follow through skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, patience, enthusiasm as well as a positive attitude toward the residents and their support networks. Must be innovative and able to find creative ways to service the variety of resident needs and maintain the customer focus.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must meet requirements of Therapeutic Recreation Director as stated in the Public Health Code.
- Must possess at least one year experience in rehabilitative or geriatric setting.
- Must have a vehicle and a valid drivers’ license and a safe driving record.
