What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fantastic Interventional Cardiologist Opportunity in Waterbury, CT position at Waterbury Hospital?
It is a full-service cardiology treatment center featuring a staff of eight physicians, a physician assistant and a nurse call center who specialize in everything from intervention to prevention and non-invasive testing.
In this role, we are actively seeking a physician to take a leadership role and pursue their vision in this clinical service line.
Clinical duties will consist of direct clinical care in the office and hospital, inpatient and outpatient consultation and be resource for education and guidance to interns, residents, and students. Seeing patients in the office, local hospitals, and participate in rotational call coverage.
To provide general and interventional cardiology treating a range of heart and vascular conditions including performing Cardiac catheterization, PCI, Coronary Stent placement, TAVR.
Must have active ABIM certification in internal medicine, and board certification / eligible at time of hire in invasive cardiology. Candidate should be board certified in ECHO and Nuclear (or be in process). Trained in TAVR, Structural Heart Disease Fellowship preferred.
Active State of CT Medical License at time of employment. ACLS / BLS Certification.
