JOB SUMMARY
The Compliance Analyst will collaborate with various departments to provide guidance on compliance matters, develop policies and procedures, and support training initiatives to foster a culture of compliance. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of regulatory frameworks relevant to the industry. This position is an integral part of the Compliance Program and will report to the Senior Compliance Officer.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate information requests with internal business units to support licensing maintenance activities.
- Maintain detailed records and provide status reports on all licensing maintenance activities.
- Oversee and maintain versioning changes made to legal documents, such as loan agreements.
- Perform and assist with compliance audits and contractor partner reviews.
- Assist with developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs within the company.
- Maintain and conduct third-party due diligence reviews, obtaining information needed and maintaining records of compliance.
- Assist with monitoring the consumer complaint log and collaborate with the resolution business units to ensure timely resolution.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of regulatory laws and requirements applicable to the company and apply that knowledge and research abilities to business practices.
- Assist Senior Compliance Officer in special projects as needed.
- All other tasks and duties as assigned related to the position
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree, 2 years of banking compliance, or experience with the laws and regulations in other industries. State licensing experience a plus.
- Specialized research skills and the ability to learn and maintain knowledge of state lending/licensing laws.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Understanding of maintaining the confidentiality of non-public information needed to perform duties.
- Experience in creating and maintaining records subject to review by auditors, regulators, or other third parties.
- Knowledge of consumer protection laws and regulations a plus (TILA, ECOA, UDAAP, Privacy, FDCPA, FCRA/FACTA, BSA).
