JOB SUMMARY
Watercress Financial Group is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to construct and maintain monthly and annual financial reporting, conduct variance, and budget analysis, and manage consolidated chart of accounts and intercompany consolidations. This role involves assisting with reconciliation, process planning, and procedure enhancement, and analyzing financial performance while interpreting KPIs. This position also includes mentoring the accounting operations team. The Reporting Manager will have direct input on internal controls, audits, and exams, and collaborate with executives and senior managers. Ideal candidates will have experience in financial accounting and reporting, strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. While supervision experience is valued, it is not required. RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for completing monthly financial statements, reports, reconciliations, AJEs and variance analysis.- Assist in maintenance of general ledger and standard entries for loan accounting.
- Develop and maintain executive and department reporting dashboards.
- Determine and track business non-financial key performance indicators and maintain a financial planning model.
- Provide budget analysis, periodic growth and losses forecasts and forecast curves.
- Collaborate with Corporate Controller to maintain a strong relationship consulting with GAAP & FASB adherence in a Private Equity environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
CPA preferred, MBA, or experience in loan system financial reporting, demonstrate advanced MS Excel abilities.- 10 years as a CPA preferred, financial reporting or financial planning and analysis.
- 2 years’ experience preparing or auditing financial statements for a lending business preferred.
- Experience with financial industry accounting concepts such as ASC 310 and CECL / ALLL, right of use, loan accrual accounting, loan sales, consolidation and finance PV, rate, and term functions.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Accounting degree, CPA preferred, or comparable work experience.- Knowledge of consumer lending, banking, investments, securitization
- Familiar with Microsoft power-stack financial technology skills such as Excel, PowerBI and Dynamics / Business Central, enhance, design, and develop the company’s monthly reporting package.
- Knowledge of Dynamics 365 / Business Central or familiar with loan operations accounting
- Data coding skills are valued (Dynamics/AL, VB, SQL, PowerQuery, JS, Python, SAS).
