The Assistant Resident Wellness Director / Assistant Director of Nursing will partner with the Resident Wellness Director / Director of Nursing to provide support, guidance, and provision of care for our residents, family members, and associates.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
Servant Leadership directs all aspects of decision making as directed by the Resident Wellness Director / Director of NursingServe as the Director in the absence of the Executive Director and Resident Wellness Director / Director of NursingContributes to all aspects of medication management, including but not limited to; orders, administration, storage, documentation. compliance and as mandated by the State Regulations and Guidelines as well as Company policy and procedureAssures resident rooms and common areas are clean and safe at all timesAssure that all resident care specialists are familiar with the residents’ individual conditions and are trained to provide the resident services in an effective, professional and sensitive mannerAssist the residents with their self-medication or administration of medicationsResponsible for limited nursing license daily recommendations and documentation (if applicable)Assists with creating and implementing plans of care for all residentsAssists with creating and implementing change in condition care plans for all residentsProvides accurate and timely documentation of all care provided to residentsAssembles and maintains resident charting and accurately maintains all recordsCompletes accident and incident reports as requiredMaintains relationships with residents, family members and responsible partiesBe prepared for and manage emergency situations including disasters, fire and other emergenciesEnsures adequate and appropriately trained resident care specialists are available for each shift within company and state guidelines including assistance with schedulingResponsible for Quarterly POS ComplianceAssist with reviewing compliance for those residents that self-administer medicationsAssist with monitoring resident careMonitors monthly vital statistics as requiredAssist with ensuring in house ancillary services such as x-rays, podiatry, psych visits, PCP visits etc. are scheduled and appropriate follow up is completedAssist with monitoring and reviewing chartingRespond in a timely manner to requests of residents, families and guestsAssist with covering shifts due to call offs, vacations, etc.Assist with ordering supplies as neededProvide on call coverage every other weekend as assignedMust be in company uniform and resident ready at all timesKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, team members, residents, family members, vendors, referral sources and outside contactsAble to make independent decisionsMust be able to communicate in a warm, friendly and caring mannerMust be familiar with and adhere to guidelines related to the Fair Housing Act (FHA) and the American with Disabilities Act (ADA)Must possess a passion to work with and around senior citizensKnowledge of customer service principles and practicesEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS :
LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) or RN (Registered Nurse) licenseEXPERIENCE PREFERENCES :
Minimum One (1) year in the senior living, Assisted Living, Memory Care environmentStrong leadership skills with a minimum of One (1) year experience in supervising and managementPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
