Watercrest Buena Vista is looking for a Dining Experience Manager to join their team! The Dining Experience Manager participates in providing a total quality dining experience for our residents. This includes a thorough understanding of food items available, resident dietary needs, proper serving guidelines, cleanliness expectations, and special diets. Assist with duties to ensure community meets sanitation standards. The Dining Experience Manager is responsible for the opening and/or closing of the dining room, serving all customers including residents, guests, and family members.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provide top level of customer service and promote a state-of-the-art dining experience in both assisted living Restaurant and Independent Living Restaurant.
- Hire, train, and supervise dining staff, ensuring high standards of service
- Will conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and support.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef to keep residents satisfied with food and dining programs.
- Assist in the recruitment process of interviewing and hiring Front of House associates.
- Coach and train the new and current wait staff in accordance with Watercrest guidelines.
- Create a strong sense of teamwork, communication, and cooperation among all staff.
- Conduct meetings with Front of House associates to provide trainings and updates.
- Assist the Executive Chef in the management of work schedules for Front of House associates (Independent, Assisted Living and Memory Care).
- Is to cover shifts when there are call offs.
- Manage Food set up, Beverage, cleanliness and Inventory of Bistro Bar Café, coffee bar, Aqua fresca programs.
- Able to maintain par levels for items such as linen, table setting supplies, and uniforms.
- Adheres to and trains staff on Quality Enhancement standards and standard food safety practices.
- Assist with planning, preparation, and execution of special events, Sunday Brunch, banquets, and theme meals.
- When applicable acquaint new residents with menus, seating, and dining options and hours.
- Set tables in accordance to Watercrest standards.
- Serve residents and guest’s food and beverages as requested.
- Review daily menu with residents and takes and delivers accurate meal orders to residents and guests.
- Maintain server station condiments par levels and re-order
- Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing floor, tables, chairs, condiment containers, and equipment used in the dining room.
- Communicate resident likes and dislikes to the community Chef for menu planning purposes and resident satisfaction.
- Attend and conduct Pre-Meal stand up held for all dining and kitchen staff.
- Responsible of the Point of Sale system data entry and management, menus, staff, reports, credit card and residents room reports.
- Manage the dining room seating stations chart and wheelchair and walker program.
- General duties include but are not limited to: cleaning, mopping, sweeping, and dusting the kitchen and dining room
- Ensures proper garbage and trash removal
- Assist residents with seating in the dining room
- Greet residents when taking and serving meal selections
- Ensure proper dining room setup and proper table setting
- Knowledge of table clearing techniques during and after dining service
- Responsible for resetting table during and after dining service
- Complete side work: napkin folding, stocking and cleaning wait station, refilling condiments
- Understand menu items and ability to explain preparation methods
- Provide a high satisfactory level of customer service to promote a restaurant style dining atmosphere
- Knowledge of individual diet needs as prescribed by physician
- Ensure all meals delivered are garnished
- Reports to the Cook or Executive Chef any equipment and supplies that are needed
- Ensures the proper use of equipment and supplies and upholds cleaning and safety standards
- Must be in company uniform and resident ready at all times
- Performs other related essential duties as assigned
