HVAC Technician
General Information:
Title: HVAC Technician
Status: Full-time; Non-Exempt
Location/Site:
Hours: Monday – Friday, possible weekends
Pay: Bi-Weekly
Reports to: Field Superintendent
Supervisory Responsibility: None
Travel Requirements: Road Warrior

Position Overview:
The HVAC Technician serves primarily as the designated authority to repair and inspect WaterFleet’s HVAC related equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and refrigeration units.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, replacing or repairing defective components as needed.
- Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, codes, and regulations.
- Provide detailed service reports and documentation for each job.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain issues, solutions, and maintenance recommendations.
- Maintain an inventory of tools, parts, and equipment.
- Participate in on-call rotation for emergency repairs as needed.
- Assist with general field work when A/C work is not available.
- Assist with moving field equipment when A/C work is not available.
- Assist with special projects in the field when A/C work is not available
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Grad; or GED
- 3 of years of experience
- Must possess a state issued HVAC license or equivalent
- Must possess EPA certification for handling refrigerants.
- Valid US driver’s license and strong driving safety record (no more than 2 moving violations in previous 3 years).
- Acceptable background check, clear of DWI convictions, for the last 5 years.
- Foster teamwork and collaboration within and between department(s).
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical components, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and endure various weather conditions.
