VICE PRESIDENT OF FINANCE
General Information:
Title: Vice President of Finance
Status: Full-time; Exempt
Location/Site: Corporate
Hours: Monday – Friday, possible weekends
Reports to: CEO
Supervisory Responsibility: Yes
Travel Requirements: Travel as needed

Position Overview:
The Vice President of Finance will be responsible for overall day to day financial and accounting operations of the business including cash flow management, AR/AP, financial controls and compliance matters. Additionally, the VP of Finance will have oversight of the budgeting process, strategic financial management, and capital planning for our multi-site business, while being a key thought partner for the CEO and broader executive leadership team on all financial matters. They will work closely with leaders across the organization including business development, field operations, human resources, engineering, compliance and technology departments.

Responsibilities:
- Accounting Operations:
- Overseeing day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger
- Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk
- Responsible for working with external auditors and tax advisors, including income tax, sales tax and property tax professionals, to provided information in a timely and accurate manner
- Files monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required by banking partners and applicable agencies at both the federal and state levels across multiple states (Does NOT include payroll taxes. Our third party payroll provider files our payroll taxes)
- Ensures compliance with local, state and federal government requirements
- Managing accounting team and staff development
- Reviewing and approving financial statements
- Oversees the inventory operations, system, and purchasing officer
- Financial Reporting:
- Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
- Preparing and presenting regular financial reports to senior management and stakeholders
- Developing key performance indicators (KPIs) to track financial performance
- Ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Oversight of Creating and managing the company budget
- Oversight of financial forecasting and modeling
- Analyzing financial data to identify trends and opportunities
- Providing financial insights to leadership on strategic decision-making including but not limited to capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
- Risk Management:
- Identifying potential financial risks and implementing mitigation strategies
- Overseeing internal controls and compliance procedures
- Managing insurance coverage and related financial risks
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA preferred
- Certified Public Accountant status highly desired
- At least ten years of experience in the financial function of a company
- Valid US driver’s license and strong driving safety record (no more than 2 moving violations in previous 3 years)
- Acceptable background check, clear of DWI convictions, for the last 5 years
- Foster teamwork and collaboration within and between department(s)
Qualifications:
Thorough knowledge of financial and accounting best practices and requirements with a proven ability to provide sound and ethical financial counsel to executive leadership.
- Thorough understanding of and personal involvement with systems and methodologies of finance and administration
- Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
