Waterford Public Schools has a vacancy for a team-oriented individual. Waterford Public Schools is seeking a Boys Varsity Soccer Coach at Waterford High School for the Fall of the 2025-2026 school year.
Waterford Public Schools serves approximately 2,400 students in grades PK-12. The District’s facilities include three elementary schools, one middle school and one high school. According to the State of Connecticut Next Generation Performance Accountability System, Waterford Public Schools ranks in the top third of K-12 school districts in the state. The Waterford Board of Education is a nine-member elected body.
Lead and manage the boys’ soccer program, focusing on player development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and run practices, games, and team activities.
- Develop soccer skills, strategies, and sportsmanship.
- Ensure compliance with school, conference, and CIAC rules.
- Communicate with players, parents, and administrators.
- Manage program equipment, schedules, and budgets.
- Connecticut Coaching Permit and CPR/AED/First Aid certifications.
- Ideally experience coaching soccer at the high school, club, or collegiate level.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Coaching Experience: CT Coaching Certification Required.
- Experience in soccer preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
