Waterford Public Schools is once again excited to announce an enhanced summer learning experience for our students and is looking for motivated, collaborative, and enthusiastic Extended School Year Preschool Teacher(s) for Summer School 2025.  Extended School Year classrooms will function as classrooms do throughout the school year with special education students being supported by special education teachers and paraprofessionals.  

Waterford Public Schools serves approximately 2,400 students in grades PK-12. Our district is actively seeking to diversify its administration, faculty, and staff to better reflect our students’ multiple identities and to bring a broader range of experiences into our district to continue to enhance the teaching and learning for ALL. The District’s facilities include three elementary schools, one middle school and one high school. The Waterford community strongly supports the public schools and has high expectations for staff and students. According to the State of Connecticut Next Generation Performance Accountability System, Waterford Public Schools ranks in the top third of K-12 school districts in the state. The Waterford Board of Education is a nine-member elected body.

Qualifications

Classes will be held  beginning July 7th and continuing through August 7th, 2025.
 

 Monday-Thursday 8:30am-11:30am.

Location: Great Neck Elementary 

State of Connecticut 112, 113, or 065 Endorsement is required.

Summer school supplemental positions shall be paid at the rate of $46.00 per hour reflecting working hours and/or instruction; preparation time is not separately compensated.
