Are you looking for a position with a flexible schedule and competitive hourly wages? Waterford Public Schools is currently hiring Substitute School Nurses for the 2024-2025 school year. Sub Nurses will provide coverage as needed in both Waterford and East Lyme as coordinated by the Supervisor of District Health Services.
The primary function of the Substitute School Nurse is to provide primary health and emergency care to students, promote wellness and serve as a resource for health concerns when the school Nurse is absent.
Waterford Public Schools serves approximately 2,400 students in grades PK-12. The District’s facilities include three elementary schools, one middle school and one high school. The Waterford Board of Education is a nine-member elected body.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. A valid State of Connecticut RN license to practice professional nursing
2. BSN preferred, but not required
3. Current CPR certification
4. Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in pediatrics and/or community health.
Wage is $315 per day.
