    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Valid Michigan Standard or Professional Teaching Certificate with a CTE endorsement in one of the following CIP Codes:
      • Marketing, Sales and Service 52.1999
      • Marketing, Sales and Services 08.0700
      • Business Administration Management and Operations 52.0299
      • Business, Management and Administration 52.9994
      • Finance and Financial Management Services 52.0800
    OR
    • Be eligible for an Annual Career Authorization with a minimum of 4,000 recent and relevant hours of work experience in any of the above-related fields within the past ten (10) years.
    • Valid Michigan Department of education Secondary Certificate, endorsed in Marketing Cluster according to the Office of the CTE Education Endorsements (GX, GH, GQ, GM)
    • Experience coordinating and leading a DECA chapter
    • Well-developed management skills, people skills and effective communication skills
    • Ability to share knowledge with real-life applications
    • Demonstrated successful teaching experience with high school students
    • Successful experience working in collaborative groups
    • Advanced ability to use technology effectively
    • Willingness to participate in professional development courses aligned with the school and district initiatives




    Essential Functions:
    • Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
    • Develop lesson plans and instructional material and provide individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil.
    • Learn and infuse emerging technologies into teaching, learning, and assessment
    • Maintain flexibility with students, staff, and physical space in an evolving educational environment
    • Work and plan cooperatively with other teachers, administrators, counselors and community members
