- Valid Michigan Department of education Secondary Certificate, endorsed in Marketing Cluster according to the Office of the CTE Education Endorsements (GX, GH, GQ, GM)
- Experience coordinating and leading a DECA chapter
- Well-developed management skills, people skills and effective communication skills
- Ability to share knowledge with real-life applications
- Demonstrated successful teaching experience with high school students
- Successful experience working in collaborative groups
- Advanced ability to use technology effectively
- Willingness to participate in professional development courses aligned with the school and district initiatives
- Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
- Develop lesson plans and instructional material and provide individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil.
- Learn and infuse emerging technologies into teaching, learning, and assessment
- Maintain flexibility with students, staff, and physical space in an evolving educational environment
- Work and plan cooperatively with other teachers, administrators, counselors and community members
