Sideline Cheer Coach

Location:
Waterford Mott High School

Minimum Qualifications:

• CAP Certification Preferred
• C.P.R. Certification and First Aid Certification Preferred
• Substantial Cheer coaching experience at the high school level, Head Varsity Coaching Experience preferred
• Substantial knowledge of the fundamental and technical aspects of Cheer
• Ability to effectively build a Cheer program, and development of the athletes as Cheerleaders
• Demonstrated effective communication
• Must abide by the Waterford School District Coaches Handbook and overall District athletic philosophy

Essential Functions:

• Plan, organize and facilitate practices
• Oversee and manage a coaching staff
• Oversee and manage events
• Assist participants in developing skills needed to be successful competitors
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders
• Work effectively with the entire coaching staff and athletic department
• Teach, maintain and enforce character and academic expectations within the program
