What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Elementary Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Program Teacher position at Waterford School District?
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement in SV required
- Trained in or willing to be trained in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention
- Proven successful experience in working with students with disabilities
- Must demonstrate knowledge and/or understanding in consistent use of data to monitor student growth, inform instruction, and develop interventions.
- Develop and implement IEPs for caseload students
- Monitor and document student progress on IEP goals
- Provide direct instruction across general and special education settings
- Collaborate with general education, special education team colleagues and team members, administrators and parents to meet the needs of students
- Modify the general education curriculum for students with IEPs based upon Instructional techniques
- Maintain special education records in all areas of special education compliance
- Establish and maintain an effective and cooperative working relationship with all staff, students, and parents
- Complete monthly required Medicaid billing
- Direct and support Para Educator staff
