The Watercraft Inspector position serves to educate the public to the threats of ecologically harmful aquatic invasive species (AIS) to Minnesota’s waters. Inspectors will also undergo paid training of MN DNR protocols and perform thorough inspections on all incoming or outgoing watercraft at multiple lakes throughout the service area.
Part-time positions available: May through September

Duties:
- Inspection of watercraft for invasive species (entering and exiting).
- Educate the public on Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) and current issues.
- Distribute literature/pamphlets.
- Conduct verbal surveys
- Documentation of inspection activities.
Qualifications:
- Verbal communication and customer relations experience.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a professional setting.
- Willingness to work outdoors at the lake in adverse weather.
- Willing to work weekends and holidays
- Requires occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs and walking or standing to a significant degree.
