Job Title: Watercraft Inspector
The primary responsibility of the Watercraft Inspector is to educate and inform the public about the threats posed by ecologically harmful aquatic invasive species to Minnesota's waters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspecting incoming and outgoing watercraft at multiple lakes throughout Goodhue County.
- Providing information to watercraft users and conducting brief surveys while inspecting for invasive species.
- Removal of invasive species and participation in other natural resource projects.
Qualifications:
- Effective verbal communication and customer relations experience.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a professional setting.
- Willingness to work outdoors and adapt to varying Minnesota weather conditions.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible scheduling (typically 9am-5pm).
- Physical ability to walk, stand, and move around the boat launch area as needed.
