The VP of IT will oversee the strategy, implementation, and ongoing operations of corporate and vessel IT infrastructure and services, collaborating with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and third-party vendors to ensure the company’s technology solutions meet both operational needs and stringent government cyber-security standards.

Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- 15 years in IT leadership roles including working closely with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and third-party vendors to deliver IT services.
- 5 years in a senior leadership capacity (VP, Director, or equivalent) working with executive or board-level personnel and being responsible for IT strategy, budget, large technology projects, and all aspects of IT service delivery.
- Implementing and executing compliance processes to ensure all applications support activities and systems are SOX compliant and adhere to IT controls.
Skills/Technologies:
- Deep knowledge of the NIST and CMMC cybersecurity frameworks and all aspects of IT infrastructure, service delivery, cloud environments, cybersecurity, and ERP solutions.
- Proficiency in IT strategy development, stakeholder management, organizational change management, communication, challenging assumptions, cost management and governance.
- Effective communication, presentation, and people skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
Education: Master’s degree in business administration, information systems, or a related field.

- Proven experience in managing complex IT systems within government and defense contracting environments.
- Background in developing and implementing cybersecurity strategies in compliance with government regulations and industry standards.
- Experience using the NIST criteria to evaluate organizations cyber footprints.
- Familiarity with maritime asset management systems and their integration with enterprise software.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing optimization of a robust cybersecurity strategy to safeguard sensitive company data, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and government security standards.
- Collaborate with external security experts and third-party vendors to identify and mitigate potential cybersecurity risks, responding to security incidents when necessary.
- Ensure that IT systems, networks, and data are secure, protected against threats, and compliant with industry standards, particularly for government and defense contracts.
- Oversee the implementation, integration, and optimization of Workday ERP solutions across the organization, ensuring alignment with business processes and operational requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and third-party ERP experts to manage financial, human resources, and operational data efficiently and securely.
- Continuously improve ERP processes and leverage data analytics to optimize organizational performance and decision-making.
- Manage the integration of IT systems that support the tracking, maintenance, and management of maritime assets critical to government and defense contracts.
- Collaborate with MSPs and third-party providers to ensure seamless integration of maritime asset management software with ERP and other business-critical systems.
- Support maritime operations by ensuring that IT systems meet the technological demands of managing a global, asset-intensive fleet.
- Define the long-term IT strategy for the company, aligning technology investments with the company’s business objectives and growth plans.
- Strategically advise senior leadership, providing insights on technology trends and recommending innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure that the company’s technology infrastructure and services scale with the growth of the business, enabling successful contract execution and customer satisfaction.
- Manage relationships with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and third-party vendors, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective IT services in alignment with service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Oversee the selection, evaluation, and management of external technology partners to ensure they meet the needs of the organization and comply with security and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with external providers to ensure timely resolution of any IT issues and smooth execution of IT projects and initiatives.
- Optimize IT service desk functions through close collaboration with MSPs, ensuring the timely and efficient resolution of technical issues.
