Position Title : Marine Applications, Systems and Content
Reports To : VP IT
Schedule : Monday through Friday and as needed
Location : Fort Lauderdale, or Tampa, FL. Travel as required.
Position(s) supervised : All vessel specific fleet application personnel and subcontractors.
Required Qualifications :
Experience : High level shipboard maintenance and procurement software experience. History of applying / integrating software programs with a focus on end user efficiency improvement.
Languages : English
Skills / Software : Nautical Systems NSE or similar PMS system and willingness to learn NSE, Intermediate to advanced knowledge of computer IP networking and MS Office applications, Docmap, Helm, Sharepoint, Workday.

Preferred Qualifications :
Experience : Experience with ship communication, bridge equipment and interfacing (NMEA). IT networking and infrastructure. Maintenance and procurement software. ISO, SOLAS requirements. Previous shipboard experience preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities :
- Management of all US Ocean Fleet Management (USOFM) vessel and related shore-side application matters, including but not limited to :
- Supervise and effectively manage all fleet application / content personnel and subcontractors within USOFM.
- Manage helpdesk workflow software to allocate resources as needed.
- Oversee all aspects of Nautical Systems NSE and continue to improve its efficiencies and functionality to end users throughout USOFM.
- Manage development and implementation of new software applications and updates to existing applications.
- Manage current software integrations and new integration projects.
- Develop, implement and manage end user training content for all application's onboard ships and shoreside.
- Create training program advancing the knowledge of junior application administrators as part of a departmental succession program.
- Design, obtain approvals, implement, maintain and support onboard applications and relevant system for the USOFM office teams
- Communication systems and related software applications.
- Maintain and manage vessel preventive maintenance systems.
- Oversee the monitoring, effectiveness, and functionality of onboard applications with the vessel crews.
- Provide technical support to Safety and Claims departments for incidents as required.
- Assist IT to relocate and maintain office and vessel to shore communication prior to, during and after emergency situations
- To assist with the implementation, design, management, and maintenance of the USOFM SharePoint database and Docmap.
- Assist with vessel infrastructure and networking equipment management.
Traveling to various ports and / or ships as required
