What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Superintendent Assistant position at Watermark Commercial Contractors?
Long time Texas general Contractor is seeking a minimum 3-5 plus years experienced multi-family Assistant Superintendent.
Multi-family experience a plus along with punchout and unit turnover experience. Must be willing to work in Pagosa Springs, CO. for project duration.
Responsibilities
Work as an assistant to the Superintendent assisting in the following partial list of duties:
- Assist Superintendent on a weekly basis to prepare, all construction project schedules/activities among subcontractors and other individuals/companies involved with the project.
- Assist Superintendent with daily reports.
- Have a strong knowledge of the Construction Documents and ensure construction is in compliance with these documents.
- Assist Superintendent in project safety and ensure all workers on site are complying with safety requirements and the project safety plan.
- Assist Superintendent in assessing sufficient supply of materials and equipment on a daily basis. Track deliveries of materials from vendors to avoid delays and onsite material loss.
- Coordinate with the Superintendent to develop and administer the site utilization program, site services, safety plan, and security arrangements necessary for the project.
- Assist Superintendent in monitoring actual versus required performance by all parties and determine whether subcontractors are providing a sufficient workforce and hours of work to achieve performance commitments.
- Maintain thorough familiarity with the requirements of the plans and ensure that the requirements are being adhered to.
- Responsible that all fieldwork is performed with a high standard of quality and in an efficient manner.
- Perform punch lists on finished units and see that they are ready for owner to accept.
- Candidates must have strong organizational and leadership skills with a commitment to safety.
Education:
- Bachelor's in Construction Management (Big Plus)
