What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Superintendent position at Watermark Commercial Contractors?
Long time Texas general Contractor is seeking a minimum 15 plus years experienced multi-family Superintendent.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare and coordinate on a weekly basis, all construction project schedules/activities among subcontractors and other individuals/companies involved with the project. - Update schedules. - Plan, organize & lead weekly subcontractor meetings - Understand scopes for all trades
- Good computer skills and experience working with construction management programs such as Builder Trend.
- Have a strong knowledge of the Construction Documents and ensure construction is in compliance with these documents.
- Supervise project safety and ensure all workers on site are complying with safety requirements and the project safety plan.
- Assess daily staffing of subcontractors and field workforce.
- Assess a sufficient supply of materials and equipment on a daily basis. Track deliveries of materials from vendors to avoid delays and onsite material loss.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager to develop and administer the site utilization program, site services, safety plan, and security arrangements necessary for the project.
- Monitor actual versus required performance by all parties and determine whether subcontractors are providing a sufficient workforce and hours of work to achieve performance commitments.
- Compare materials on-site to submittals
- Maintain thorough familiarity with the requirements of the general contract and ensure that the requirements are being adhered to.
- Responsible that all fieldwork is performed with a high standard of quality and in an efficient manner.
- Maintain daily progress reports using company's Builder Trend Software and conduct weekly job site safety meetings.
- Candidates must have strong organizational and leadership skills with a commitment to safety.
Qualifications/Skills Requirements
- Associates Degree or higher in Construction Management, Engineering/Architecture, or equivalent and 15 years of job related experience (multi-family construction)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work with construction team
- Skillful intra office communication
Pay will be based on experience and qualifications.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $108,000.00 per year
