Position Overview:
Join us in leading the final assembly, quality inspection, testing, and packing operations at Watermark Designs' facility in Brooklyn. As the Assembly Supervisor, you'll collaborate closely with the Operations team to foster a culture of excellence and operational efficiency. Apply your leadership skills and knowledge to drive continuous improvement and deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence: Lead the application of Lean Manufacturing principles to maximize value across assembly processes, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
- Team Leadership: Inspire and motivate a cross-trained workforce, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Provide clear communication and effective delegation to promote a positive work environment.
- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Identify and address production process issues, using data-driven decision-making to implement effective solutions. Encourage problem-solving at all levels of the team.
- Quality Management: Ensure adherence to quality standards, implementing control measures to prevent defects. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to maintain or improve quality levels.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role within manufacturing, preferably in assembly operations.
- Understanding of Manufacturing principles.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in English and Spanish.
- MS Office.
Nice to Have:
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles.
- Associate degree in Technology or related field.
