What are the responsibilities and job description for the Swim Instructor (Part-Time) position at Watermelon Swim?
Watermelon Swim's mission is to grow a community full of safer swimmers and reduce the risks while increasing confidence in and around water.
Great opportunity to earn an exceptional pay rate and work a consistent weekly schedule of at least 2 weekday evening shifts and either a Saturday or Sunday morning shift.
Our Melontastic Swim Instructors are generally responsible for the following:
- Teaching swimming, safety, and survival from babies through adults to promote confidence in and around the water.
- Managing classes of 1-4 students while providing hands-on swim instruction.
- Tracking progress and celebrating swimmers' successes.
- Engaging parents in students' progress.
- Providing encouragement, guidance and FUN!
Characteristics, Skills, and Qualifications necessary for success:
- Passionate, friendly, reliable, patient
- Excellent communication skills to easily build trust and relationships with students and parents.
- Ability to teach students in a positive and encouraging manner.
- Experience working with children.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Bilingual candidates preferred but not required.
