Project Estimator

Our office is looking to hire a project estimator that has experience as a project estimator. YOU MUST KNOW HOW TO TAKE OFF BLUEPRINTS. You need to have a strong knowledge/experience of field work regarding waterproofing and construction. You need to be proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and be familiar with using online programs to assist with estimating projects and gather information for projects.

You must have strong written and verbal communication skills and communicate in a professional manner with owners, inspectors, project managers, architects, and other colleagues.

Your primary functions as a project estimator are as follows but are not limited to these functions:

1. To provide accurate estimating of projects assigned to you, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing projects. You will be using blueprints, specifications, and related documents for take offs. You will also need to identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. You will compute the costs for projects by analyzing labor, material, travel, and time requirements.

2. Purchasing materials.

3. Efficient coordination of field and office activities on projects.

4. Stay up to date about material suppliers, current labor laws, equipment rental rates, and qualified subcontractors.

5. Resolving issues on jobs.

6. Code and approve invoices.

7. Maintain organized and up-to-date project files.

8. Estimate and submit timely proposals to the general contractors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $44.00 per hour
