Job Summary : We are seeking a self-motivated and proactive Safety Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the implementation of safety programs, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and foster a culture of safety across all sites.
What Youll Do :
- Conduct regular safety inspections and hazard assessments on a wide array of construction projects across the Heavy Civil and Paving Divisions of the company.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining safety policies and procedures.
- Facilitate any necessary training sessions, toolbox talks, and first aid training for employees.
- Help to monitor and log tool box talks and weekly inspection sheets. submitted by superintendents and foremen.
- Investigate incidents, prepare report, and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with site teams to promote safety awareness and adherence to protocols.
- Monitor and maintain safety equipment, ensuring readiness at all times.
- Fill out accident report investigations as needed and insure timely submission of all information to insurer.
- Maintain professional working relationships with employees and subcontractors.
- Keeps the safety of Waters employees as the #1 priority.
