Overview
The Next Generation Systems Portfolio Owner, in the QA/QC Business Segment, will be responsible for understanding and prioritizing customer problems to solve. S/he will develop the value propositions, business cases, product roadmaps, pricing and launch plans for innovative products. Scope will include the marketing, product development, portfolio management and lifecycle management of a product portfolio.
The Next Generation Systems Portfolio is responsible for programs that focus on the future of chromatography.
The Portfolio Owner will execute organic and inorganic growth strategy, including identifying market opportunities and customer needs and managing the development pipeline. S/He will enable execution of solution development, recommendations of capital allocation, development of business cases, and coach leaders and teams to develop and deliver solutions that address unmet customer needs.
The Portfolio Owner will be responsible for commercializing and managing solutions through the lifecycle, including product management, portfolio management, software and hardware development.
Critical during this time of reorganization and change at the company, this leader will attract and develop world-class talent and build leaders to strengthen the succession pipeline for long-term growth.
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
- Innovates and develops range of products to meet market needs and anticipate future opportunities.
- Develops the value propositions, business cases, product roadmaps, pricing and launch plans
- Executes development, launch and life cycle management activities
- Drives launch and commercialization activities
- Provides end-customer services and support
- Searches for and evaluates inorganic growth opportunities related to future products / adjacencies
- Measures and manages key business performance indicators against forecasted objectives including vitality index of new products and portfolio value.
- Drives transformation in aligned portfolio with organizational alignment and agile development of solutions.
- Attracts, retains, and develops high performing team.

Qualifications
- Advanced degree, ideally a PhD preferred
- Business or technical undergraduate degree
- Demonstrated ability to align and motivate a team to work through a sustained period of transition, reorganization, etc.
- Experience building and leading high-performing teams
- Growth strategy experience, such as identifying market opportunities, making investment decisions, and delivering on strategy execution
- Ability to define and execute a product and portfolio strategy with an understanding of end-user needs
- Financial acumen and P&L management
- Product commercialization experience
- Product management and product development experience
- Influencing capabilities and scientific knowledge
