Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, ensuring all areas are sanitized and free of hazards.
- Support cooks and chefs by providing necessary items during meal preparation.
- Follow food safety and handling procedures to ensure the quality and safety of all food products.
- Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to supervisors.
- Participate in catering events as needed, ensuring timely preparation and presentation of food items.
- Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces regularly to maintain hygiene standards.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with culinary techniques and food handling practices is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on cleanliness and organization.
