**Job Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Education Teacher to join our team at Watershed Hogh School. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging physical education programs that promote the physical, social, and emotional development of our students. The successful applicant will have a passion for teaching and be committed to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment. This is a part time position. one day a week (Wednesday) for the entire school year.
**Responsibilities**
- Plan and deliver physical education lessons that align with the school's curriculum and meet the needs of students with diverse abilities and learning styles.
- Develop and maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Design and implement assessments to measure student progress and understanding of physical education concepts.
- Collaborate with special education teachers to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills, including behavior management and conflict resolution.
- Utilize creative writing and communication skills to create engaging lesson plans and provide constructive feedback to students.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with varying learning styles, including those with special needs.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and other school events as required.
**Requirements**
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Education, or a related field.
- A current teaching certification in Physical Education.
- Experience teaching physical education.
- Experience with special education and behavior management techniques.
- Strong knowledge of physical education concepts, including sports, fitness, and health education.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to write engaging lesson plans and provide constructive feedback to students.
- Experience with childhood development and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students at different developmental stages.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $1,500.00 - $2,000.00 per month
