This is a part time position, incurring roughly 25 hours a week.
The following rough timeframes of availability are needed to be considered for the position, including weekends :
5a-4pm
10a-8 : 30pm
Candidates need to be willing to work as a team to cover shifts, learn the processes and product knowledge at an accelerated rate, and be able to work weekends.
Anyone who fails to have an open weekend availability will not be considered for this position.
DESCRIPTION
The Shift Leader is responsible for directing an efficient workflow and assisting the Store Manager in a variety of store operations duties. This position serves as a role model of barista responsibilities and serves as the team leader when the Store Manager is unavailable.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Ensure consistent and quality customer experience by executing brand beverage recipes and techniques, resolving customer relations issues, and leading the team in delivering the Scooter’s “Amazing” customer service experience
- Maintain speed of service standards during high-volume periods by staying calm, managing an efficient team workflow, anticipating customer needs, and utilizing downtime to prepare for the next rush
- Assist the Store Manager in onboarding and training new team members
- Develop effective working relationships with team members, identifying individual motivation factors
- Proactively seek opportunities to increase individual and team sales
- Understand and execute cash handling, point of sale system, and operational procedures in an accurate, consistent manner
- Ensure team members follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Serve as a keyholder, following all opening and closing procedures
- Demonstrate punctuality, dependability, and adaptability
- Assist Store Manager with administrative duties as requested
