Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Foreman/Superintendent to oversee construction projects and ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of construction management principles. This role requires effective communication with team members, clients, and crew while maintaining a safe work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
Duties
- Supervise daily operations on construction sites, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Bid out projects of varying sizes and submit to management for overall budget approval and compliance.
- Manage a team of workers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee quality control processes to ensure all work meets industry standards and client/management expectations.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to facilitate accurate project execution.
- Implement safety protocols in compliance with OSHA regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues that arise promptly.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management or a supervisory role within the industry. General Contractor's License Required. (10 years industry experience)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices on construction sites.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical specifications.
- Familiarity with BuilderTrend for budgeting purposes is preferred.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in quality control processes.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members at all levels.
