Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced bilingual (English/Spanish) Field Superintendent to manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in construction management, particularly in hardscaping or related fields, coupled with strong leadership and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will oversee all site activities, manage field staff, and ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee construction projects from start to finish, working closely with internal teams and external contractors.
- Analyze project specifications to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
- Ensure adherence to building codes and safety regulations on all job sites.
- Supervise construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring optimal performance.
- Manage tools, materials, and equipment, maintaining accurate inventory oversight.
- Comply with contractual conditions of performance.
- Monitor daily work progress and report on project status.
- Anticipate potential project issues and proactively implement solutions.
- Negotiate contracts, draft agreements, and secure necessary permits and licenses.
- Maintain construction quality standards and implement proper building techniques.
Qualifications:
- Required Experience: Proven experience in construction management or as a Field Superintendent.
- Knowledge: Advanced understanding of construction management processes, techniques, and best practices.
- Skills:
- Strong expertise in building materials, construction details, relevant regulations, and quality standards.
- Familiarity with construction management software.
- Leadership and team management capabilities.
- Effective conflict and crisis management skills.
- Excellent time and project management proficiency.
- Education:
- Preferred: BS degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
